Food: Everyone is invited to the Sherman County Museum's volunteer recognition dinner at one o'clock. The lasagna dinner will be catered by Oregon Trail Candy Company (Sue Smith and Janet Welk) for $8 per person. Please call 541-565-3557 or the Museum 541-565-3232 for dinner reservations.
Film: Be among the first to view the "Museum Movie" made at the Museum last summer and starring local residents. The narrated film shows students with their teacher visiting the Museum........... It was produced by Small Business Administration technicians, under the supervision of Jim Steiner, a great fan of Sherman County and the Museum.
Shopping: The auction will begin at two o'clock. Sherman County residents and regional friends of the Museum responded to the auction with an interesting variety of donations: 4-H project pigs, Fossil Flora Inn B & B stay, dinners, beautiful original paintings and photographs, a variety of gift baskets, bales of hay, a load of wood, a massage, tools, collector toy tractors, quilts, wall hangings, stained glass window, afghans and a hand-painted mail box. There's more: hand-made infant blankets, holiday decorations, historic out-of-print books, Craig Lesley books, Margaret Truman mysteries, jewelry, garden art and tools, latch-hook work, a Columbia River fishing trip and a romantic picnic basket!
Fun: Come support the Museum and do some early Christmas shopping. Auctioneer Jake Grossmiller will preside.
History: The Sherman County Museum has just completed its 21st season. Join us to honor Museum Volunteers and share the Vision of what is to come.
