Local History on The Web

Moro. Trustees at the national-award-winning Sherman County Historical Museum in Moro are proud to announce the introduction of their exciting, information-packed web site to serve residents, travelers, researchers and students. According to Museum president, Bobbi Driscoll of Grass Valley, the new web site was designed by Cameron Kaseberg of Kaseberg Design, The Dalles, and features elements of design produced for the Museum by Jeanney McArthur of Visual Images, Wasco, text produced by Museum Coordinator, Sherry Kaseberg and funding contributed by members James T. and Andrea Siscel.

A full menu directs viewers to Home, Exhibits, Kids, Society, County, Publications, Schedule, Museum Store, Awards, Links, Press and Marketing, Feedback and Contact information. Driscoll reports that, “Youngsters working on school assignments about Oregon counties and potential members will be able access appropriate information. Children planning visits to the museum can print a student exercise to use while there.”

History comes in the form of quotes by those who experienced it!  Civil War veterans are posted along with a calendar of events, newspaper articles about the Museum and its development, and links interesting, related web sites! An index for the historical anthology, Sherman County: For The Record, is provided to assist researchers. This web site opens windows and doors into and beyond Sherman County. For more information, see www.shermanmuseum.org! Check it out! The Museum opens for the summer season on May first.
