Sherman County Historical Museum's Sherman County Artist Serie - Vicki Frey

Moro, Ore. – Sherman County Historical Museum’s exhibit team leader, Myrna Melzer, is pleased to announce the August Sherman County Artist Series featuring Vicki’s in Stitches by Vicki Frey of Moro. Vicki’s exquisite craftsmanship grew out of her grandmother’s teaching and her creative touch with fabric and thread.
Oliver Wendell Holmes paints the picture for this exhibit, “Take your needle, my child, and work at your pattern; it will come out a rose by and by. Life is like that - one stitch at a time taken patiently and the pattern will come out all right like the embroidery.”
Vicki’s artistic needles take the viewer from an embroidered receiving blanket, matching infant sweater and booties, women’s sweaters and scarves to handsome plaid men’s shirts, pot holders and lavender and potpourri sachets.
The Museum in Moro is open daily from 10-5; there is no fee for viewing this exhibit. Questions? Call the Museum 541-565-3232.
